Self Study - Syllabi

It is important to know that whilst many good training courses are available it is also very much possible for an experienced asset manager to prepare themselves for an IAM exam. This page is to provide guidance on the syllabi and reference materials available and to provide every opportunity for those wishing to self-study.
It is also important to note that since June 2019 it is no longer a requirement to complete and pass the Certificate before attempting the Diploma. This is beneficial from both a cost and a study time aspect.

Certificate: "Principles of Asset Management"
The Principles of Asset Management is a 2-hour invigilated exam delivered online at approved IAM exam venues. It comprises 60 multiple-choice questions over 5 compulsory modules:
